Campos Racing drivers put extensive mileage under their belt evaluating different setup changes
Winter Series’ two-day preseason testing came to an end at Circuito de Jerez and everything went according to plan for Campos Racing. Petru Florescu, Matheus Iorio and Thiago Vivacqua were joined by Alex Karkosik as Simo Laaksonen, who was announced to contest the full-season in the Euroformula F3 Open, was unable to attend due to his final exams and despite efforts made by Campos Racing to solve it.
On Tuesday, Florescu led the charge at Campos Racing by posting a lap time of 1:35.790. On the other hand, Vivacqua and Iorio posted times of 1:36.050 and 1:36.670 respectively. Karkosik, on his first day, clocked a personal best of 1:37.209. Today, the four-driver lineup managed to improve yesterday’s lap times. Florescu set a fantastic 1:34.295 to put himself second overall. Both Vivacqua and Iorio also scored extremely competitive lap times with their 1:34.754 and 1:35.285 respectively. Finally, Karkosik’s best attempt was a 1:35.533.
Campos Racing drivers completed more than 500 laps around Jerez track moving onto different setup configurations through both days, which resulted in excellent preparation for the season ahead.
