The season opener will take place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in the frame of the Spanish Grand Prix. Pulcini, Laaksonen and Menchaca completed a brilliant preseason testing and are gearing up to start the year in spectacular style

The excellent results in preseason testing have Campos Racing and its drivers enthusiastic for the start of the 2018 GP3 season, which is kicking off at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya once again. Campos Racing will enter three Dallara GP3/16 cars for young drivers Leonardo Pulcini, Simo Laalsonen and Diego Menchaca, a perfect mixture of youth, talent and experience.

Italian Pulcini was a top-three driver in collective GP3 testing at Paul Ricard, Jerez and Barcelona and looks to be a force to contend with all year long. Finnish Laaksonen and Mexican Menchaca are making their debut in the series but they also expect to inch into points contention regularly.

The Barcelona circuit is extremely demanding due to its many fast corners putting large forces through the tires. Besides, its abrasive surface and hot temperatures make it even more challenging.

Qualifying takes place at 17.50 (CET) on Friday. Saturday’s race 1 is scheduled at 10.15 (CET) and race 2 is slated for Sunday at 10.25 (CET).
