Falchero, Hyman and Siebert will enter round 1 of the GP3 Series in Campos Racing colors as the season starts in Spain next weekend

Campos Racing will enter another GP3 Series season and in its third year the only Spanish-based team set ambitious goals for itself. Young stalwarts Julien Falchero, Raoul Hyman and Marcos Siebert will drive Campos Racing’s Dallara GP3/16 cars at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, which hosts curtain-raiser event to 8th season of the GP3 Series.

Following their promising performances in preseason collective testing held on different circuits on the Iberian Peninsula, Falchero, Hyman and Siebert eye a strong start on their debut in the series. Frenchman Falchero, aged 20, made a lot of progress over times from testing and is ready for the start of the season. Hyman is also a debutant but the 20-year-old rookie from South-Africa also proved the pure depth of his talent as a racing driver. Finally Siebert, aged 21, steps up to compete in the GP3 Series after his Formula 4 title last year and the Argentinean driver sets to continue the same winning ways.

Pirelli has chosen its P Zero Orange hard compound for Barcelona. For sure, the Catalan asphalt will be a good test of tire wear as Barcelona, due to its abrasive surface, is the most demanding track of the season for the tires. Characteristic warm temperatures and constant accelerations will demand extreme tire management from drivers.

Friday’s practice session will take place at 16.45 (CET). On Saturday, the single qualifying session is scheduled at 09.45 (CET) with race 1 at 17.15. Finally, on Sunday race 2 will get underway at 09.25 (CET).
