The EuroFormula Open season resumes after summer break with Pulcini currently leading the driver standings. Pulcini, Menchaca, Moreno and Abdullayev will seek new heights in Austria
Campos Racing and their drivers Italy´s Leonardo Pulcini, Mexico´s Diego Menchaca, Ecuador´s Julio Moreno and Azerbaijan´s Gulhuseyn Abdullayev are back in action in the EuroFormula Open after this year´s summer break. The series head to Austria for another exciting venue at Red Bull Ring, the fast layout situated in the Styrian Mountains. The Red Bull Ring brings good memories as Mitch Evans and Sean Gelael secured an impressive 1-2 for the Alzira-based team in GP2 last July and the whole team looks to repeat success in F.3.
Pulcini tops the provisional Drivers´ standings on 162 points after his record of four wins and three second places. Pulcini claimed win in Spielberg last year and it adds another strong performance element to Campos Racing. His teammate Menchaca ranks third overall and his goal is to continue his podium streak. It was not by pure chance he was able to celebrate three visits to the podium. Moreno and Abdullayev have already proven to be top-ten contenders earlier this season and they both look forward to score as many points as possible. These results have taken Campos Racing to the top of the Teams´ standings on 64 points.
Two free practice sessions will take place on Friday ahead of Saturday´s qualifying session at 10.20. Race 1 is due to start at 15.15. On Sunday, Q2 will precede race 2 at 9.10 and 13.35 respectively.
