Barcelona marks the home race of Campos Racing and Álex Palou. The Barcelona-born driver and his teammates Tereschenko and Schothorst are a perfect mix of talent and speed for 2016 GP3 season

The GP3 Series kicks off with its traditional season opening at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. At its home round, Campos Racing expects to start in a great manner with their young and extremely talented driver lineup: Spain´s Álex Palou, Russia´s Konstantin Tereschenko and Netherlands´ Steijn Schothorst. Palou, a race winner on his debut in the series last year, is joined by Tereschenko and Schothorst.

The trio of Campos Racing completed a successful final dress rehearsal in Barcelona last month. There, the only Spanish team in the series proved how smooth its transition was to new Dallara GP3/16 introduced for 2016. Campos Racing drivers set competitive lap times and showed some great pace both in qualifying and race runs. Additionally, they worked on setup in both dry and wet conditions.

As always, the GP3 Series will run alongside F1 at the same venues. In Barcelona, Campos Racing will race in front of their home crowd attending the Spanish F1 Grand Prix.

Friday is devoted to free practice session with a single session taking place at 17.50. On Saturday, qualifying will take place at 09.45 and race one is due to start at 17.20. Finally, on Sunday, race two will start at 09.15.
