The trio of young aces will make a step into the unknown in Malaysia. Palou, Schothorst and Tereschenko expect competitive pace on Asian soil
Campos Racing and its drivers in the GP3 Series, Spain´s Álex Palou, Netherlands´ Steijn Schothorst and Russia´s Konstantin Tereschenko, are ready for another challenging event but this time abroad Europe. The Spanish team head to Malaysia for the second-to-last round of the season in which will be a step into the unknown for everybody. In fact, the Sepang International Circuit is the most recent addition on the GP3 calendar.
Schothorst and Palou secured points for Campos Racing over the last two rounds in Belgium and Italy the only Spanish team eyes its third-straight point-paying result. In their first-ever trip to Sepang, Campos Racing drivers will have to cope with extreme humidity and hot temperatures. As the Malaysian venue features fast corners and a brand new surface, tire degradation is supposed to be very high and it could play a key role over the weekend.
The drivers will get their first taste of Sepang on Thursday and not on Friday, unlike previous rounds on the calendar. As usual, races will take place on Saturday at 04.30 (CET) and on Sunday at 04.05 (CET).
