Podium target for Campos Racing and its four-driver lineup of Vivacqua, Iorio, Florescu and Laaksonen at Circuit Paul Ricard next weekend
The Paul Ricard HTTT will mark the third of 8 rounds of the 2017 Euroformula F3 Open season and Campos Racing aims to keep its perfect podium streak going in Le Castellet with its four-car armada of Petru Florescu, Matheus Iorio, Simo Laaksonen and Thiago Vivacqua.
Weekend promises much excitement for reigning Euroformula F3 Open champion as the French venue has proven to be a fertile ground in the recent years. The outfit founded by Adrián Campos took podium finishes on the stop step of the podium over the last two seasons. Earlier this year, Campos Racing secured another podium result at Euroformula’s Winter Series event.
After four races, Vivacqua currently sits fourth on 40 points as the Brazilian-Portuguese driver stepped onto the podium at Estoril and Spa-Francorchamps. The current Drivers’ standings are extremely close because Iorio – with another podium to his credit at Estoril’s season opener-, Florescu and Laaksonen put 27, 20 and 14 points on board. The last two drivers are also fighting for Rookies honors.
