Argentinian Guerrieri finished fourth and fifth in the WTCC Trophy at Nürburgring
Campos Racing and its driver in the World Touring Car Championship, Esteban Guerrieri, completed another positive weekend at Nürburgring Nordschleife. At the wheel of his Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1, Guerrieri continued his positive streak and on his debut at the challenging German circuit.
On his first outing, Guerrieri finished 2nd and 5th in both free practice sessions improving almost ten seconds in each session. Later in qualifying, Guerrieri took ninth place with a lap of 8:43.689 and secured a front-row start for the opening race.
In the Opening Race, Guerrieri started second and fought with the factory-entered cars to take finally the chequered flag fifth and fourth in the WTCC Trophy. In the Main Race and from ninth on the starting grid, Guerrieri 8th and 5th in the WTCC Trophy.
Guerrieri lies fourth in the WTCC Trophy Drivers’ classification and Campos Racing sits third in the WTCC Teams’ Trophy.
The WTCC Race of Portugal will take place at Vila Real on 24-25 June.
