Julien will make his debut in the F.1 feeder series with Campos Racing following a successful winter test programme
Campos Racing are pleased to announce Frenchman Julien Falchero as their new driver for the 2017 season in the GP3 Series. Falchero, aged 19 and born in Valence (France), will enjoy his first season in the series and arrives to GP3 Series looking for success after spending two years in Formula Renault contesting the Eurocup 2.0, the Alps, and the NEC championships. Julien had his very first taste of GP3 Series during championship´s collective testing in Abu Dhabi in the final weeks of 2016 showing promising, steady progress.
Falchero said: “A new challenge in 2017 in GP3 Series with Campos Racing is an extraordinary opportunity. The tests in Abu Dhabi and the integration within the team in Valencia in Spain are a real treat for me. I’m going to prepare for the best physically this season 2017 and have as Coach a great former French F1 driver, Jean Pierre Jarier, who agreed to take care of me with the goal to occupy the first places on the grid.”
On the other hand, Adrián Campos added “I´m very happy to welcome Julien to our team. We really worked well together in Abu Dhabi. We were impressed by his maturity and I´m sure we can have a good season.”
