New thrilling endurance event and not decided until the very last minute in GTLM, with García claiming another victory teaming up with Denmark´s Jan Magnussen y Australia´s Ryan Briscoe. García already won the season-opening race at Daytona.
This year´s 12 hours of Sebring has had a Spaniard playing a key role in the race once again. This edition, counting towards the Tudor United SportsCar Championship, has seen Antonio García – shareholder of Campos Racing- winning a new race after an outstanding performance at the wheel of the Chevrolet Corvette C7.R entered by Corvette Racing and shared with Jan Magnussen and Ryan Briscoe.
García, who was given qualifying duties in the #3, posted 3rd fastest time on the grid behind both factory Porsche cars. García also made the opening stint, running in second place before Briscoe took over in the Chevrolet. Unfortunately, Briscoe spun and dropped to 8th. From then on, they made a remarkable recovery awarding them with victory after 12 hours of restless racing. They hammered both factory-entered Porsche cars until they caught problems and were able to beat Risi Competizione´s Ferrari and Falken Motorsport´s Porsche.
García has already won the Triple Crown of Endurance: Le Mans, Daytona and Sebring.
