Nearly three months after the last event in Argentina, the World Touring Car Championship resumes at all-new Ningbo International Speedpark
Campos Racing and Argentinean Esteban Guerrieri will continue to push hard in the 2017 World Touring Car Championship next weekend following a three-month hiatus since Argentina. Besides being the first stop of the Asian tour, the Chinese venue will take place at the Ningbo International Speedpark for the very first time. The circuit is located in Chunxiao near to the city of Ningbo. The 4.015-kilometere track runs in an anti-clockwise direction. With 22 turns its design allows for two layouts: The East Circuit and The West Circuit.
After six rounds, Guerrieri currently sits fourth in the WTCC Trophy on 70 points. This leaves him 17 points adrift of Mehdi Bennani, Tom Chilton and Robert Huff, they all driving Citroën C-Elysée WTCC cars. On the other hand, Campos Racing occupies third place in the WTCC Teams’ Trophy on 73 points.
As per the results of the events in Portugal and Argentina, the RML-built Chevrolet Cruze TC1 cars won’t carry compensation weight for China.
Both races will take place on Sunday at 14.30 and 16.30, local time.
