Another brilliant Euroformula Open weekend for Campos Racing and its drivers at Silverstone, as they shone on their own merits. Fourth win for Tereschenko, who retakes the drivers´ championship lead, and Menchaca grabbing two podium finishes in the rookie class
Silverstone was another favorable scenario for Campos Racing and its drivers. It was not in vain that Konstantin Tereschenko and Campos Racing lead drivers´ and teams´ standings respectively. Russian driver arrived in Great Britain leading the series and came seventh on Saturday, after starting 8th on the grid. Sunday´s race was much more positive, with Tereschenko 3rd on the starting grid and taking the lead at T1. The race was closely-fought one each and every lap, and after some brilliant driving skills against his closest rivals for the title, Yu Kanamaru and Vitor Baptista, Tereschenko has claimed his fourth win this season and now sits 1st overall on 155 points.
Mexico´s Diego Menchaca performed pretty well at Silverstone at well. Yesterday Menchaca came 5th overall and was 2nd in the rookie class, finishing 8th on Sunday and 3rd among those debuting in the series. Henrique Baptista retired from the race yesterday and was 11th in Race 2. Finally, Ahmad Al Ghanem´s efforts were rewarded with 4th and 5th place in the rookies´ classification.
