Campos Racing heads to China for the second Asian round of the series, to be held at the Shanghai International Circuit
Campos Racing is getting ready for another round of the World Touring Car Championship. The Race of China, second Asian WTCC round, takes place at the Shanghai International Circuit next weekend. Campos Racing will field two Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1 cars for Hugo Valente and John Filippi, its full-season drivers. Valente, who lies fourth in the Independents´ Trophy, has scored points in all eight of his previous meetings and stepped onto the podium on a number of occasions throughout the year. Corsica´s Filippi ranks 7th and, at the same time, Campos Racing sits second in the Teams´ Trophy.
Chevrolet-built cars won´t put on compensation weight as per results of the events at Paul Ricard, Vila Real and Motegi.
WTCC drivers will hit the track for the first time tomorrow at 11.40 (local time) for testing. Two free practice sessions on Saturday morning will be the ideal appetizer for afternoon´s qualifying sessions starting at 14.30. Both races will take place on Sunday at 14.45 and 15.55.
