Spain´s outfit and their drivers are completing a brilliant preseason testing so far and they aim to extend winning streak in Montmeló. Nirei Fuzukumi joins Campos Racing in Montmeló
EuroFormula Open´s Winter Series will end at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya this week, and it will serve as the last tune-up before the opening round of the series, which is scheduled at Estoril on 23-24 April.
Campos Racing is completing a truly remarkable preseason testing as Mexican Diego Menchaca topped the time charts in Jerez, during test sessions held there, and also Leonardo Pulcini and Julio Moreno also in the top-five. At Paul Ricard, Italy´s Pulcini won Race 1 and Menchaca finished 4th. The latter claimed triumph in Race 2 and Pulcini grabbing 3rd step on the podium. Moreno came fourth following a brilliant recovery as he started from the pit-lane in Race 1.
The main novelty comes from Japan as Nirei Fuzukumi will make his debut in the series driving the same car previously used by David Beckmann and Gulhuseyn Abduyallev. Fuzukumi, 4th in the domestic F3 series last year, is one of the emerging stars in the Land of the Rising Sun.
Both testing days in Barcelona take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, with four sessions each day.
