Mahindra Racing driver finished second on Saturday and took 6th on Sunday. Heidfeld also made it in the top-ten both days
Both Mahindra Racing drivers, whose cars are run by Campos Racing, played a role of protagonist in the streets of London, hosting the season finale with a doubleheader Visa London ePrix. Nelson Piquet Jr. and Oliver Turvey of NEXTEV TCR Formula E Team fought back to finish into the top-ten with local Briton star being hit by bad luck and dashing his podium chances.
Senna qualified 2nd on the starting grid on Saturday sharing the front row with another iconic surname in motorsport: Nicolas Prost. Later in the race, Senna gave a good fight and finally finished second, five seconds behind Prost. It was Mahindra´s best result in the FIA Formula E so far. Heidfeld took 8th place. Piquet finished 14th with his Nextev TCR 001 and Turvey , who started 3rd on the grid, had to retire when in podium contention with three laps to go.
On Sunday, Turvey again had a stunning pace and took 4th on the grid. Heidfeld was fifth and Piquet Jr. and Senna 9th and 12th respectively. Brazilian Senna moved through the field and after 33 laps finished 6th. Heidfeld took 8th once again and Piquet Jr. and Turvey crossed the finish line 10th and 11th.
