Indonesia´s Sean Gelael and New Zealand´s Mitch Evans arrive in Malaysia for another tough test due to humidity and extremely high temperatures

The GP2 Series will enter its final phase in Malaysia, hosting the penultimate round of the championship next weekend, as the main F1 feeder series will make a return to this country in Southeast Asia. In the frame of the Malaysian GP, the Sepang International Circuit promises another exciting climax to the season and Pertamina Campos Racing and its drivers eye a good performance.

Indonesian Sean Gelael and New Zealander Mitch Evans have collected 105 points for Pertamina Campos Racing so far. The Alzira-based team has previous experience of the Sepang layout and it will provide valuable know-how for both drivers. The heat and humidity will test drivers, cars and tires. Sepang is 5.543 kilometers long and features sweeping corners and long, wide straights, which demands high downforce for cornering and low drag for straight-line speed. Besides, It is almost mandatory to get a good exit out of the last corner to gain as much speed as possible on the main straight.

Pirelli has chosen P Zero Orange hard and P Zero White medium tires for this round.

Unlike other rounds, free practice sessions take place on Thursday at 10.05 (CET). Qualifying is scheduled on Friday at 9.50 (CET) ahead of Saturday´s Feature race at 5.50 (CET) and Sunday´s Sprint race (05.20).
