Campos Racing and Italy´s Leonardo Pulcini could move two massive steps closer to Euroformula Open title at Monza next weekend. The Euroformula Open arrives at the Italian Temple of Speed for the 6th and antepenultimate round of the season. It represents a unique window of opportunity for the Alzira-based team and its driver target in taking another giant stride towards the F3 European championship. A superb season by Pulcini with four wins and four second places to his credit put him first in the drivers´ standings with a solid lead. For Pulcini, race weekend in Monza will provide extra motivation and he will be even stronger on Italian soil.
Mexican Diego Menchaca is another usual contender for the honor positions and Monza won´t be an exception. Menchaca lies 3rd overall and claimed four 3rd places finishes so far. Ecuador´s Julio Moreno put a brilliant recovery drive in at Red Bull Ring and scored valuable points. He eyes points return in Italy. In the same way, Azerbaijani Gulhuseyn Abdullayev is looking for juicy points on his debut in the series.
Thursday and Friday are devoted to private test and free practice sessions. On Saturday, qualifying session will take place at 10.10 and race 1 is scheduled at 15.30. On Sunday afternoon, and following Q2 in early morning, race 2 will take place at 13.15.
