Young Corsican driver continues his CR-WTCC3 program at Campos Racing, which has been designed by the Spanish outfit to performance young drivers to become professional factory drivers such as Hugo Valente
Campos Racing and John Filippi will enter another World Touring Car Championship season together with Corsica´s driver at the wheel of a Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1 like last year. Filippi will continue being backed by Oscaro and, at the same time, touring car star Yvan Muller will provide crucial knowledge and advice to him in order to achieve even better results. Filippi became the youngest driver to start on pole for a WTCC during season finale in Qatar last year.
“I am very happy to continue our common story. My objective is to establish my legitimacy in this championship with my last performances in mind. I am very happy to continue working with the engineers and mechanics from the Campos Racing team. I am very confident for this season and I hope that I can get some great results”, Filippi explained.
It is worth mentioning Filippi is in his second year of CR-WTCC3 in TC1 class, an ambitious racing programme developed by Campos Racing with a clear goal: to performance young drivers to become professional factory drivers over a three-year period. France´s Hugo Valente, who delivered brilliant performances with Campos Racing in previous years, will perform his first run as a LADA factory driver at season opening at Paul Ricard on 1-3 April. Spaniard Pepe Oriola is another good case in point. Thus, Campos Racing is the best choice for young drivers who aim to become factory drivers in the future.
