Valente and Filippi ready to race at home as WTCC heads to France. They both sit fourth and seventh in the Independents´ Trophy
There is no time to rest for Campos Racing in the WTCC series, as Paul Ricard event takes place next weekend. Two Chevrolets RML Cruze TC1 driven by French aces Hugo Valente and John Filippi will be entered by Campos Racing. For them it will be a rather special weekend as it is their home round and, for sure, it will be a morale-booster.
Besides, Campos Racing starts second half of WTCC season with big aims, as Valente and Filippi lie fourth and seventh in the Independents´ championship respectively and the Parisian (Valente) took a double win in Slovakia. Last but not least Valente has been the closest contender for factory teams of Citroën, LADA and Honda. In the teams´ classification, Campos Racing is second.
Compensation weight for Chevrolet cars in France is 20kg.
Today, first private test session, with two free practice sessions on Saturday, before Qualifying. Both races take place on Sunday at 12.45 and 14.00.
