Both Campos Racing racers have scored new points during today´s GP2 race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Indonesia´s racer strengthens his second place in the drivers´ standings collecting valuable points over the weekend.
Today GP2 Sprint race, which has no mandatory pit stops, was held in Barcelona and the drivers of Campos Racing again played a major role. Race start was certainly troublesome for everyone and Arthur Pic, as Mitch Evans wasn´t on the grid – he stopped on his outlap-he topped before his grid position. As a result he was given a five-second time penalty.
His teammate Rio Haryanto was in the top six and his overtaking maneuver on Norman Nato would be an eye-catcher moment. At the end his battle with Artem Markelov was another interesting moment to come sixth. On the other hand Pic also overtook Nato but his penalty dropped him to 8th but collecting one point after a good race with Campos Racing-fielded car.
In two weeks´ time Monaco, one of the most exclusive motorsport events throughout the season.
