Haryanto´s win at the Red Bull Ring on Sunday reinforced his third place in the drivers´ championship. Pic eyes his first podium this season
The GP2 Series approaches a new event at Silverstone, in the frame of the British Grand Prix, and it becomes the second-to-last race weekend before the summer break, which will arrive after the Magyar event later this month.
Campos Racing is delivering a good performance with its two drivers, Indonesia´s Rio Haryanto and France´s Arthur Pic, with the Asian racer claiming two wins and another second place so place so far. At the moment Haryanto lies third in the drivers´ standings. On the other hand Pic is still working his way into the podium positions this season and it will be his main goal for the British venue. The weather forecast predicts clouds but with little chances of raining. In the team´s classification, Campos Racing sits third, only six points behind 2nd-placed team.
Cars will hit the track for the first time tomorrow during Friday´s free practice session at 12.00, local time, and then Qualifying will take place at 15.55. Feature race is due to start on Saturday at 15.40, with one mandatory pit stop, and Sprint race, shorter, on Sunday at 10.35.
