The GP3 Series heads to Austria for Round 2 at Red Bull Ring, the racing track in Styria, a state in the southeast of Austria and bordering Slovenia. Red Bull Ring is an iconic venue in motorsport as the “old” Österreichring was built in 1969. Alex Palou, Zaid Ashkanani and Samín Gómez aim at scoring their first points in the season with Campos Racing.

Season´s kickoff in Barcelona saw Zaid Ashkanani almost claiming his first top-ten finish, as he finished 11th on Saturday. Venezuela´s Gómez also performed pretty well over the weekend. Palou, who qualified fourth, struggled with clutch sensor – a problem detected after the event- and it prevented him from making two good race starts. With such issues solved, the driver born in Barcelona is ready to be back in contention.
