Pulcini leads the drivers´ championship after dominant season start at Estoril and Spa. Italy´s driver and his teammates Menchaca, Moreno and Abdullayev ready to run in Southern France

Campos Racing and its four driver line-up of Italy´s Leonardo Pulcini, Mexico´s Diego Menchaca, Ecuador´s Julio Moreno and Azerbaijan´s Gulhuseyn Abdullayev head to Paul Ricard for third EuroFormula Open event of the season. There, both Pulcini and Menchaca took both wins in Winter Series.

Campos Racing and Pulcini have set a stunning pace from the start and have two triumphs and two second places – including two pole positions as well- in the pocket. Pulcini is in championship command after Spa-Francorchamps weekend on 89 points. Besides, the young Italian ace is 18 points clear at the top. The Alzira-based outfit also lies first in teams´ standings.

His teammate Menchaca is fourth in the standings at the moment. Mexican racer places himself like a strong contender for the championship with a third place at Estoril and his fourth finish in Belgium. Moreno scored an impressive 3rd-quickest time in Q2 at Spa, later bringing seventh place home on Sunday. Earlier this season, Moreno came fourth at Paul Ricard in EuroFormula Open´s Winter Series stop there. Another debutant, Azerbaijani Abdullayev, sets sights on points at Paul Ricard after two positive learning events in Portugal and in Belgium.

Friday is devoted to free practice sessions, with Q1 on Saturday morning. Race 1 is due to start at 15.15. On Sunday, and following Q2, race 2 will take place at 13.15.
