Austria´s race track, now known as Red Bull Ring, hosts Round 4 of the GP2 Series with both drivers of Campos Racing, Haryanto and Pic, eying rostrum once again
The “summer” season starts for the GP2 series and for the main F1 feeder series is always a busy time. The first of three events scheduled within one month takes place next weekend at Red Bull Ring. At the Austrian track, formerly known as Östterreichring and A1-Ring is a famous and classic motorsport venue, Campos Racing drivers Rio Haryanto and Arthur Pic are among favorites once again. At the moment Haryanto sits 3rd in the drivers´ standings with his sensational season start in Bahrain claiming his maiden race win and another podium, and Arthur Pic lies third, 11th after collecting 16 points in the streets of Monte Carlo.
Their goal is to continue on the right path throughout the season, which is particularly difficult as it is being characterized by a high level of racing. A narrow margin is the line between success and failure this year. Red Bull Ring has a layout featuring three long straights, rather overtaking friendly, and then a twisty infield section, asking for a setup compromise.
The only practice session takes place on Friday at 11.55, with Qualifying kicking off at 15.55. Weekend´s feature race, with mandatory pit stop, takes place at 15.40 on Saturday and finally, on Sunday, Sprint race is due to start at 10.35.
