The Spanish driver and his team finished seventh on Sunday in another action-packed race
Campos Racing finished in the points at Monza, which hosted the antepenultimate round of the GP3 Series. Spain´s Alex Palou, Netherlands´ Steijn Schothorst and Russia´s Konstantin Tereschenko learnt new valuable lessons from the F.1 feeder series.
On Friday, Palou already made it inside the top-ten in free practice ahead of Saturday´s qualifying session. There, Palou qualified 10th on the starting grid with a lap time of 1:39.045. His teammates Schothorst and Tereschenko scored slightly slower lap times and started behind Palou.
Palou managed to be in points contention over the course of Race 1 but finally came 11th. Schothorst and Tereschenko finished 13th and 17th respectively. On Sunday, Palou and Schothorst got off a good start and moved up several places in race two. Besides, they avoided a race incident involving Charles Leclerc and Nirei Fukuzumi and they both were running in the top-ten. After another typical GP3 race with drivers changing positions several times, Palou finished seventh and earned two points and Schothorst came 13th. Tereschenko finished right behind Schothorst in 14th.
The GP3 Series is ready for the penultimate event of the season to take place in Kuala Lumpur next month.
