The trio of drivers at Campos Racing made it into the top-ten. Hyman and Siebert took 6th and 8th spots on the time sheets in the morning and Falchero finished 6th in the afternoon
Campos Racing continues its GP3 Series preseason testing in the same vein of positive form and the Spanish-based team showed its pace again in the second collective test carried out at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The official two-day GP3 test saw Julien Falchero, Raoul Hyman and Marcus Siebert at the wheel of the Dallara-built machines at the circuit where the season will kick off next month.
On day one, the drivers of Campos Racing finished with a respectable 180 laps under their belt with the GP3/16 cars. On Thursday, when times improved quite a bit, South African Hyman turned a lap of 1:33.374 to finish 6th and Argentinean driver Siebert clocked a time of 1:33.445, which was 8th-fastest.
Falchero had a DRS problem on his set of new tires and as a result he couldn’t match his teammates. But he still posted competitive lap times and practiced 6th in the afternoon.
The final GP3 collective testing will take place at Cheste’s Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana, on 25-26 April.
