Campos Racing driver takes sixth place in Saturday´s GP2 Series race in Monaco. Haryanto was forced to retire early after being hit by Nato
Campos Racing has scored new points on the streets of the Principality of Monaco with Arthur Pic , driving one of the Dallaras GP2/11 entered by the Alzira-based team, crossing the finish line in the 6th place. Starting 5th his first meters were pretty difficult because he was hit by Alexander Rossi and lost one place at T1. As overtaking in Monte Carlo is only possible with taking an extreme risk, Pic contented himself with his sixth place, securing valuable points.
Haryanto was less fortunate as the Indonesian, starting in the middle of the pack, was hit by Norman Nato, damaging his front wing and retiring from the race. Haryanto still sits 3rd in the drivers´ classification. Campos Racing is 3rd as well among teams.
Next GP2 Series event will take place in mid-June at Red Bull Ring.
